Nexus holds blessing and inauguration of its new HQ

Nexus formally opened the doors of its new headquarters, The Nexus Center, located along Metropolitan Avenue, San Antonio district in Makati City last 24 October.

Chairperson, Greg Yu, along with Nexus board members, construction chairperson Edith Suzara, officers of The Nexus Group of Companies, Nexus staff and the architects and engineers of the Art Deco style building came together to witness one of the milestones of the company.

The event began with the ribbon-cutting and blessing of the floors led by Fr. [insert priest name], [Current role and Diocese of the priest]. Tere Teologo-Matammu, Nexus AVP for Finance and Jhett Angustia, Nexus Sr. HR Manager, led the tour of the building which is filled with Nexus employees, brimming with excitement while holding their lighted candles and cheerfully participating at the traditional coin shower that comes with Nexus 25th centavo bonus coins for special prizes.

From the ground floor, bneXt’s new office and the whole commercial area received the first blessing all the way to the 10th floor function area where events are held. The Nexus offices on the 9th and 8th floors were followed, then the BrenPro office at the 7th and 6th floor down to the parking areas and basement of the building.

Soon after, a heartfelt piece was played by some members of the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra (MSJO). All guests were silent as they listened to the performance of the internationally-awarded young musicians.

The heavy rain fall and cold weather did not dampen the spirits of the guests and employees when the native merienda buffetwas served at the 9th, 8th and ground floor by the much-awarded Filipino classic catering service provider, Via Mare. On the menu are some Filipino favorties such as: pancit luglog, tokwa’t  baboy, fresh lumpia ubod, crispy triangles of mushrooms, pan de sal with flaked chicken adobo and kesong puti stuffing, bibingka galapong, puto bumbong, and petit halo-halo— a perfect way to conclude the much-awaited celebration.

Attended by Nexus’ longtime partners, subsidiaries, and employees who have been part of the company’s success, the event was a heartwarming celebration of growth, partnership and prosperity.
